Here, we will tell you on how to take a screenshot of your screen.

While working on windows, it occurs so many times that we want to have a screenshot of our screen. Using PrtSc is no doubt the best known method. However, using this method we have to open the Paint and then paste our taken screenshot there using Ctrl+V and then we could be able to save the screenshot on our system.

People download outside software just to take a screenshot of their screen because they are unaware of the fact the Windows itself provides a way which could easily save the screenshot. Things could be much more easier if you know certain keywords of windows. Let's see these keywords.

How to take a screenshot and save it as a File

Press Windows logo key along with Print Screen key i.e. Win+PrtSc. If you are using a tablet or Smartphone, you can press Windows logo button and Volume down button. Your screen will dim for a moment when the screen is copied and saved as a file in the screenshot folder which you can find in your pictures folder.

How to take a screenshot without saving it

This is pretty simple which we always do i.e. press PrtSc only. It will take a screenshot without saving it. If you want to see this file before saving it, open Paint and paste this taken screenshot using Ctrl+V. If you are satisfied with it, go to file and select save. This way you can save any file with previewing it first.

How to take a screenshot of only one window

You can take a screenshot of only one window if you want to. All you have to do is to click on any window and then just Press Alt+PrtSc. It will be saved into clipboard. You can paste it anywhere you wish to using ctrl+v key. This is really a good way to take screenshot of only one window instead of whole screen.
