How To Use Different Features of App Notifications in Windows 10

Windows 10 has come with lots of surprises and interesting features. Well some of the interesting features are Quiet Hours, Disabling App Notifications Completely and Select apps whose Notification will appear.

Here, in this tutorial we will tell you all about these features of Windows 10. All of them are located at same place. Let's know how to access that place. Well, for that follow the steps written below:

Step 1: Press Win+I keyboard shortcut. It will open the right sidebar. Look at the down right corner. You will see change PC settings. Click on this.

Step 2: It will open a new window with name "PC settings". Select Search and apps here.


Step 3: It will open a new window of Search and Apps. Here, you can see a Notifications option at the third position. Click on this.

Step 4: It will open up the different options available under Notifications. This consists of three parts. We will discuss each of them separately.

1. Notifications :- This is the main section of this part. Using this feature, one can turn off  Apps notifications completely unless one wants to see it again.He could also use the option of showing apps notifications on the lock screen. There are two other options which are very interesting if you want to get Notification. They are: Play notification sounds and turn on my screen when i get a call. These two could be helpful for those who are using Skype, Torrents, Sound Recorder etc. 


2. Quiet Hours: Scroll down, and you will get the next section. It is Quiet Hours. This is a very interesting section as it can mute the notification for certain hours of the day. It will be started again when you restart the PC or when the quiet hours ends. This could be really fruitful if you wish not to be disturbed while reading something or playing games on your PC.


Here in the screenshot, you can see how to set Quiet hours from certain time to other. You can also decide whether you want to get a call during Quiet Hours or not.

3. Show Notification From These Apps: These again is an important section of Notifications window. You can access this by keep on scrolling down. 


You can select between the apps. The apps from where you want to receive the notifications, make it turn On otherwise turn it Off. There is no need of getting notifications from any apps which you rarely use.

Conclusion
These different sections of Notifications give a wide spectrum of choices to be used by its users. They can decide which apps to get notifications from, use quiet hours during playing or reading and of course turn it off when there is no need of it completely.
