Windows 10 has come with so many new and interesting features. However, we always miss all those small things which we think as the integral part of a Window. My Computer, Recycle Bin, Control Panel, User Files are such things which we always need on our Desktop for various reasons. It not only helps us in reaching to our targeted files easily but it also gives us a assurance that if anything we missed, it would be easily be found using these icons.

Here, In this article we will talk about bringing those icons back on our Desktop in Windows 10. If you want to do the same thing for Windows 8, it would remain the same. Follow the below written steps to get back to your favorite icons.

Step 1: Right click anywhere on your desktop. In the context menu, select Personalize.


Step 2: Clicking on Personalize will open the personalization section of Control Panel. Click on Change desktop icons. You can find it easily while looking in the left sidebar of this window. It would be the second option just below the Control Panel Home

Step 3: Now, here tick against the different icons which you want to appear on your desktop. 


Step 4: Now, click Apply and then OK and its done. Go to your desktop and you will find the selected icon on your desktop.
