Colorful Tabs is a new Firefox add-on which is used to colorize the tabs present in your Firefox automatically. You can use different color for different tabs so that they look completely different from each other. You can color any tab you wish to and also recolor it anytime you need. This coloring of tabs could help you to recognize each tab easily. 

It also provides a new feature using which you can add an image on the background of any tab which you are using. There is full control in your hands i.e. you can do whatever you want to do with this tool. 

How To Use This Add-On on Your Browser

At first, go to the link provided at the last of this article and click on it. It will open a new window which would be asking you to add to Firefox. Remember to open it in Mozilla as this is an extension of Mozilla Firefox. It would not work in other Browser. 

When You Click on "Add to Firefox", it will ask you to install it. Press on install and this add-on will be installed on your browser.Restart the Browser to use this add-on. After restarting you will see your tabs would be colored automatically.
Now you can change the color of any tab you wish to. A screenshot of this is shown below:


The time you open a new window, it will be opened with a new color. If you need to customize this app, go on to the Add-on Manager present in the settings and after then select Extensions. There you can see all your pre-installed extensions. Find Colorful Tabs there and press options. It will open a new window. There are so many options present there. Some of them are mentioned below:
  1. General: Here, you can select whether you want to go by default or generate color randomly using palette.
  2. Style Tabs: This is there for choosing an image for your background or enabling context menu options to auto highlight active tab.
  3. Presets Tabs: It is there for choosing the color in advance for the new tab which are going to be opened.
  4. Tweak tabs: It is for enabling tab text glow and for enabling fixed color for background.
