Here, in this tutorial we will tell you on how to browse multiple drives or folders simultaneously in windows.
In general when we need to copy or move files or sub-folders from one drive to another or within 2 Folders, what we do is to copy/cut at one place and paste at the other. This is pretty simple. However it might also occur to you when you need to drag and drop some selected files/audio or video songs/ movies, you need to open both folders.
Opening multiple drives or folders also become necessity when you are preparing for exam or working on some project. What if we need to switch between multiple folders frequently. It really frustrates one. It won't when you know about an important feature of windows.
How To Browse Multiple Folders on Windows Simultaneously
Go to the link provided at the last of this tutorial and download Q-Dir_Installer for your PC. Choose according to the bit system of yours i.e. 32 bit or 64 bit. This app is compatible with Windows Vista, XP, 7 and 8 as well. It will be downloaded in a zip folder, extract it and install this app. Once the installation is complete, run this app. It will open a window just like the below shown screenshot.
Here in the above screenshot, you can see your windows explorer subdivided into four parts. You can open different folders and drives in any of them. This app allows you so many different options right from changing background, theme to change the status bar, title and many others.
In the above screenshot you can see there are only two windows are out there. This can be easily adjusted using horizontal bar shown in red color in the above screenshot. You can also make all the windows looks completely vertical or a combination of both. The colors or theme of the background can be adjusted from the color and design option inside Extras. There are so many other options too here like: Address bar, title bar, list view and many others.
You can also add any folders to add to as your favorites using Favorites option present at the tool bar of this app. Along with this, if you look at the bottom right of this app there are different options like: Highlighter/ Filter, Cut, Copy, Paste and Delete. Just left to the delete option there is a Run option.
